What is NODA?

NODA stands for National Operatic and Dramatic Association.

NODA is a UK-based charity that supports amateur theatre companies and individuals involved in musical theatre, opera, and drama.
Founded in 1899, NODA provides advice, resources, training, and representation for amateur performing arts groups across the United Kingdom.

Their mission is to:

  • Support local theatre groups and societies.

  • Promote high standards of performance, staging, and production.

  • Encourage education and involvement in theatre at all ages.

  • Represent the interests of amateur theatre to government, funding bodies, and the wider industry.

TMCS' membership means that we are part of a respected, nationwide community of amateur theatre, with access to resources, advocacy, training, and recognition that help you thrive both on and off stage.
